MGS Horticultural has a lengthy history of identifying and introducing innovative products and concepts to the market to help keep our customers at the leading edge of technology. We ask to get involved and we do in many ways. Below, we illustrate some examples:

Ultra-Low Volume Spray Innovation:
By sourcing industry leaders in Japan, we became the only company in North America to identify the uniqueness and value of ultra-low volume spraying, which put our customers at an advantage over their competitors. For certain products, this proven technique has become the preferred method of pest control application within the greenhouse industry.

Integrated Pest Management Innovation:
We continue to be the leaders of integrated pest management successfully combining the use of biological and chemical control products. In fact, we were the first to source and supply biological pest management to large-scale commercial greenhouse operations in Ontario.

Bumblebees For Pollination Innovation:
We screened and selected indigenous species of bumblebees and then developed efficient and effective methods of breeding, hibernation and mass rearing. As the sole investor and developer of the use of bumblebees for pollination in North America, once again we provided our customers a technological advantage, as they were the first to apply the innovation.

Rockwool Innovation:
While rockwool was in its very early stages of development in the Netherlands, we identified the significant value it could add to our customers. MGS Horticultural testing applications enabled us to develop our own technology and promote hydroponic growing through the utilization of rockwool. This investment has led us to become the largest rockwool supplier in the Southwestern Ontario market. MGS Horticultural provides a locally produced product that can respond to the needs of our customer.
