MGS Horticultural has evolved to reflect the industries it services well beyond its original roots as a basket assembly factory in 1941.

Originally known as Art Morse Farm Supplies, for the first two decades the business was a small factory in Leamington, Ont. that assembled and supplied baskets to Essex County growers. A change in ownership in the mid-sixties established a new corporate identity, Morse Growers Supplies Ltd. with a new focus. The business shifted towards the supply of pest control products for the local farming industry.

In 1979, the business scope widened to support the greenhouse business and specialty agriculture, which would prove very beneficial. MGS Horticultural positioned itself as the leading supplier for the specialty horticultural market as the local greenhouse industry grew at a phenomenal rate.

Presently, MGS Horticultural is leading the evolution of high technology horticulture in the fruit and vegetable industry enabling it to become the major supplier of pest management controls and fertilizer to the horticultural and turf industries in south-western Ontario.
